I have been an emerging artist for about 20 years and I expect to be emerging for many years to come. After somewhat of a creative hiatus I have been filled with inspiration while I have been focussing on processing some of my mental health issues. It turns out that moving away from avoidance and disassociation and facing your trauma can really spur on an art practice. So there are quite a few psychological themes in this recent body of work and I am quite interested in the brain and the mind and the connection to the body. Painting for me is more of a kinaesthetic than a visual experience. I hope to keep the work rolling in!
